About SCI/Washington D.C. SCI's Washington Office is headed by the Director of Wildlife Conservation and Governmental Affairs who is responsible for support to 5 of SCI's Committees:
The Department of Governmental Affairs monitors all Congressional activity and all proposed rules from federal agencies that affect the interests of SCI's members including suggesting new legislation and regulations, provide testimony or formal comments on existing bills and proposed rules, and lobbies to assure the right to hunt is protected and enhanced. The Washington office also houses the administrative staff who provide support functions and the SCI Ethics Liaison Officer who works with the Ethics and Code of Conduce Committee to insure the SCI's Hunter's Code of Ethics is upheld by each member. |
